Sample Preservation Solution
It is a colorless, transparent and sterile liquid with a small amount of crystal precipitation, no visible flocculent precipitation and other impurities, which can effectively reduce the bias caused by microbial growth or nucleic acid degradation.
Based on many years of experience in human microbiome project, RuiYi Biologicals has developed the fecal sample preservation solution, which can be used for 14 days at room temperature by dispersing fresh fecal samples uniformly in the sample preservation solution, the main bands of the DNA extracted from the samples are still clear and similar to the microbial composition and structure of the immediately extracted fresh fecal samples, which provides a stable and effective feedback on the microbial composition of fecal samples at the time of sample collection, and thus guarantees the accuracy of subsequent research results. This ensures the accuracy of the results of subsequent studies. Meanwhile, the preservation solution is easy to use, safe and effective, and can be transported and stored at room temperature. It is suitable for fresh fecal samples mainly for microbial DNA detection, and meets the various needs of clinical research.。
Methods
Realbio Technology Stool Sample Preservation Solution has been approved by Shanghai Minhang District Market Supervision Administration, and has obtained the Class I Medical Device Record Certificate and the Manufacturing Record Certificate.
There are two ways of supplying this preservation solution:
The first one is the sterile fecal sample preservation solution in bottles (200mL and 500mL), which needs to be dispensed by customers according to their own sampling conditions; the second one is the sterile fecal sample preservation solution with preservation solution。
The preservation solution can be stored at room temperature for 12 months, or 14 days if a fresh fecal sample is added to the preservation solution. Customers are advised to perform DNA extraction during the storage period or to store the tube containing the sample and preservation solution directly at -80°C.
The sampling method, preservation and transportation conditions should be consistent for all samples from the same project.
Sample requirements
1、Applicable sample types：This product is suitable for fresh fecal samples with microbial DNA detection as the main purpose, and it can not be stored at -80°C within 4h after sampling, but can only be preserved and transported at room temperature.
2、Precautions during sample collection: To ensure the preservation effect and DNA stability of the sample, the fecal sample should be completely submerged and uniformly dispersed in the preservation solution, and the fixed ratio of preservation solution and fecal sample should be 1mL/100mg; if you can't estimate the quality of fecal samples, please estimate the samples according to the volume, and each unit volume of the preservation solution can preserve 0.2 times the volume of fecal samples.
3、Fecal sample preservation solution can only preserve fresh samples, and cannot be used for transit preservation of frozen samples.
4、 For long term cryopreservation of samples preserved with this product, the sampling tube containing the sample and preservation solution can be placed directly at -80°C for preservation.
5、Stool samples preserved with this product are not suitable for metabolomics testing.
